Systems Yield Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Systems Yield Engineer, Quantum. Location: Goleta, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mechanical, electrical, and thermal test setups for testing quantum components, sub-assemblies, and systems at room temperature and cryogenic conditions.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure test and yield data is traceable, accessible, and formatted for analysis across sub-teams.
  • Perform statistical analysis of component reliability and lifetime using industry tools;
  • Analyze data to support new testing procedures and root cause investigations;
  • Define and automate test pass/fail criteria and support data-driven decision-making in system design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with electrical testing;
  • At least 1 year of experience using statistical and data analysis tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Python and data visualization libraries such as Plotly or matplotlib.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JMP, ReliaSoft, or similar statistical packages;
  • Experience working within shared codebases;
  • Knowledge of PCB design principles and mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Understanding of cleanroom semiconductor fabrication processes.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $151,000.
  • Additional compensation includes performance bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
