Job Description
Job Title: Systems Yield Engineer, Quantum. Location: Goleta, CA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mechanical, electrical, and thermal test setups for testing quantum components, sub-assemblies, and systems at room temperature and cryogenic conditions.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure test and yield data is traceable, accessible, and formatted for analysis across sub-teams.
- Perform statistical analysis of component reliability and lifetime using industry tools;
- Analyze data to support new testing procedures and root cause investigations;
- Define and automate test pass/fail criteria and support data-driven decision-making in system design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of experience with electrical testing;
- At least 1 year of experience using statistical and data analysis tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with Python and data visualization libraries such as Plotly or matplotlib.
- Familiarity with tools such as JMP, ReliaSoft, or similar statistical packages;
- Experience working within shared codebases;
- Knowledge of PCB design principles and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Understanding of cleanroom semiconductor fabrication processes.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $151,000.
- Additional compensation includes performance bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
