Job Description

Job Title: Senior Cloud Services Developer. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, USA

Responsibilities:

• Design, improve, and refactor quantum cloud services and quantum data center models.
• Develop efficient quantum information encoding and network transport protocols.
• Create and maintain APIs for cloud-based quantum services following best practices and architectural standards.
• Lead a software engineering team and mentor junior developers in cloud service development.
• Collaborate with product leadership to align development work with long-term technical roadmaps.
• Build tools and automation for research integration in full-stack environments;
• Design, deploy, and operate fault-tolerant, production-grade cloud services.
• Implement observability through logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting systems;
• Ensure cloud-native architecture compliance, including containers, orchestration, and serverless components.
• Utilize backend technologies including NodeJS, NestJS, Go, and Rust to develop secure, scalable services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or Senior Services Developer;
• Proven experience with:
  • Software architecture for cloud services
  • Quantum software development
  • Cloud-native infrastructure and technologies
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean)
  • Backend frameworks such as NodeJS, NestJS, and Golang
  • Security best practices (data protection, access control, threat mitigation)
