Job Description
Job Title: Director of Business Development. Location: Remote (United States)
As Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for building and scaling the top of the sales funnel globally; You’ll lead a team focused on inbound and outbound prospecting and pipeline development for Account Executives; You’ll report directly to the VP of Go-To-Market Operations and collaborate with regional sales leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a global business development team to identify and qualify new prospects.
- Develop and execute strategies for lead generation and early-stage sales engagement.
- Work closely with Account Executives and regional sales teams to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Present business development insights at marketing and sales reviews;
- Use data to drive performance improvements and strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top business development talent;
- Coach and mentor team members in real-time to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience managing business development or sales prospecting teams.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing people and teams.
- Experience working in complex technology environments, preferably enterprise software or quantum tech.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated success in top-of-funnel sales strategy and execution.
- Strong analytical mindset with operational efficiency;
- Able to work in fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
- A collaborative leader with high emotional intelligence.
