Job Title: IT Systems Engineer. Location: Broomfield, Colorado, USA
The role involves designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure, applications, and services to support collaboration, security, and productivity across the organization; Your work will help enable scientific teams developing quantum software, applications, and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Administer and manage Microsoft Entra, ensuring secure configuration and integration with other systems.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for device management, policy enforcement, and application deployment;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for optimal operation.
- Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other standards.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and training to IT teams and end users;
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and system integrity.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune updates and recommend improvements.
- Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects.
- Identify operational risks and opportunities, driving corrective actions and process improvements.
- Support after-hours system events or crises when needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role with Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune.
- At least 5 years of knowledge in IT systems, hardware (peripherals and endpoints), and enterprise-level tools.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or with asylum/refugee status);
- Due to national security requirements, candidates cannot be nationals of China or Russia unless also U.S. citizens.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent.
- Experience with Intune and Defender for Endpoint, including ground-up deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud computing;
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with flexibility to adapt to business needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $116,000 to $145,000 per year.
- Non-incentive eligible.
