Job Description

Vice President, D-Wave US Government Business Solutions, Remote USA

This senior leadership role requires expertise in government procurement, compliance, and federal contracting, along with familiarity in quantum, AI, or high-performance computing; The role involves building partnerships with agencies, guiding product development for government needs, and ensuring strict compliance with federal regulations and security standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the US government business strategy, including organizational design and compliance with FOCI and federal requirements. Present updates to the Board of Directors as needed.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with US government agencies (e.g., Department of Defense), subcontractors, and partners.
  • Market Analysis: Research sector trends and challenges to refine strategies and drive growth;
  • Product & Service Development: Oversee application development and 24/7 support services tailored to government clients. Provide input on product roadmaps.
  • Sales & Business Development: Lead go-to-market strategies, manage federal sales pipeline, oversee bids and negotiations, and report KPIs. Define marketing and sales enablement requirements;
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and grow a specialized government solutions team, ensuring training in compliance and federal contracting best practices.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Work with legal and security officers to ensure adherence to federal regulations, FedRAMP, and cloud security standards.
  • Security Clearance Management: Supervise top-secret clearance processes for personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years in business development, sales, or management within the US government sector.
  • Proven experience in federal contracting and projects requiring top-secret clearance.
  • Active US Top Secret Clearance required;
  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement processes, compliance, FOCI, and clearance requirements.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing, AI/ML, or high-performance computing.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to thrive in complex and evolving environments.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $201,600 – $374,400 USD
