Director, Project Management - Quantum

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Director, Project Management. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

Reporting directly to the Head of Electronics and QC Software, this role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects, from product specification to high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead collaborative development activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage engineering projects across domains including photonic and electronic integrated circuits, optical and mechanical subsystem design, electro-optical packaging, firmware, RTL bitstream, and application software;
• Ensure projects meet schedule, technical specifications, and cost targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with lead customers.
• Provide decisive leadership and make informed decisions even in the absence of complete data.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) required.
• Proven track record in electro-optical data communication product development.
• Demonstrated success in project management roles with complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to lead with confidence in fast-paced environments.

Compensation:

• Bay Area pay range: $220,000 – $265,000 USD;
• U.S. base pay range (outside Bay Area): $192,500 – $231,000 USD.
• Compensation package includes base salary, equity options, and benefits.
