Job Description
Job Title: Junior Recruiter and University Relations (Quantum Computing). Location: Berkeley, CA or Fremont, CA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Manage interview scheduling for technical roles, coordinating with candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers.
- Maintain accurate and compliant candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Support job postings, candidate communication, interview logistics, and offer coordination;
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication and follow-up.
- Identify scheduling risks, process gaps, and data quality issues, and escalate when needed.
University and Early Career Recruiting
- Support and gradually take ownership of university recruiting programs, including internships and entry-level roles.
- Partner with internal teams to engage with universities, research programs, and student communities.
- Assist in planning and executing career fairs, campus visits, conferences, and virtual sessions, including occasional travel.
- Support development and management of recruiting materials such as presentations and branded collateral.
- Manage early-career hiring workflows from requisition to conversion.
- Track and report recruiting metrics such as pipeline health, interview outcomes, and conversion rates.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and People team partners on hiring priorities and planning.
- Contribute to improving recruiting processes, templates, and tools.
- Support special projects such as ATS improvements, reporting enhancements, and early-career program development.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in recruiting, recruiting coordination, or talent operations.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms such as Lever, Greenhouse, or Workday.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume coordination tasks.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams including engineering, research, and manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability.
- Interest in quantum computing, engineering, physics, or advanced manufacturing.
Preferred:
- Academic background or familiarity with physics, engineering, materials science, or computer science.
- Experience recruiting for technical roles in hardware, research, or lab environments.
- Experience supporting internship or early-career hiring programs.
- Experience coordinating across multiple time zones;
- Background in startup, scale-up, or research-driven environments.
