Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager, HR Business Partner. Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States - On-site role with remote flexibility within the United States
You will act as a strategic advisor, helping leaders translate business and technical goals into clear and effective people strategies; The role requires strong judgment, comfort with change, and the ability to work in a dynamic, innovation-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders across highly technical teams
- Align people strategies with business goals and long-term growth plans
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, hiring strategies, and role clarity;
- Coach executives and managers on leadership effectiveness, performance, and change management
- Enable managers to build high-performing teams through clear goals, feedback, and accountability
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
- Use people data and employee feedback to identify risks and improvement areas
- Foster an inclusive and values-driven workplace culture that supports engagement and retention
- Partner with Total Rewards on compensation planning, offers, and rewards;
- Manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment laws
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver consistent and scalable HR programs
- Support additional people initiatives as business priorities evolve
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 10 or more years of progressive HR experience
- Previous experience as a Senior HR Business Partner;
- Experience supporting highly technical teams in hardware or software technology environments
- Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations
- Proven ability to coach senior leaders and executives;
- Strong business judgment and data-driven decision-making skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
Preferred:
- Experience working in advanced technology or deep-tech industries
- Experience supporting global teams across multiple regions

Pay Range:
USD 110,000 to 150,000 per year
Final compensation is based on experience and skill level
