Manager, HR Business Partner

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager, HR Business Partner. Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States - On-site role with remote flexibility within the United States

You will act as a strategic advisor, helping leaders translate business and technical goals into clear and effective people strategies; The role requires strong judgment, comfort with change, and the ability to work in a dynamic, innovation-driven organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders across highly technical teams
  • Align people strategies with business goals and long-term growth plans
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, hiring strategies, and role clarity;
  • Coach executives and managers on leadership effectiveness, performance, and change management
  • Enable managers to build high-performing teams through clear goals, feedback, and accountability
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
  • Use people data and employee feedback to identify risks and improvement areas
  • Foster an inclusive and values-driven workplace culture that supports engagement and retention
  • Partner with Total Rewards on compensation planning, offers, and rewards;
  • Manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment laws
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver consistent and scalable HR programs
  • Support additional people initiatives as business priorities evolve

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 10 or more years of progressive HR experience
  • Previous experience as a Senior HR Business Partner;
  • Experience supporting highly technical teams in hardware or software technology environments
  • Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations
  • Proven ability to coach senior leaders and executives;
  • Strong business judgment and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments

Preferred:

  • Experience working in advanced technology or deep-tech industries
  • Experience supporting global teams across multiple regions

Pay Range:
USD 110,000 to 150,000 per year
Final compensation is based on experience and skill level
