Senior Technical Recruiter

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Technical Recruiter (12-Month Contract). Location: New Haven, CT

Job Type: Full-time, 12-month contract

D-Wave is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to support its growth and innovation goals; This role owns the full recruitment lifecycle and works closely with hiring managers across technical and scientific teams to deliver an outstanding hiring experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for technical and scientific roles across multiple departments
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, team needs, and hiring priorities
  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates using active and passive sourcing methods;
  • Manage inbound applicants and proactively identify passive talent using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience from application through offer stage
  • Drive interview coordination, feedback collection, salary recommendations, and offer negotiations
  • Ensure candidates move efficiently through the hiring process with clear communication at every stage
  • Support a smooth handoff to onboarding teams after offer acceptance

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in technical and or scientific research recruiting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple searches and priorities in fast-growing technical environments
  • Strong communication skills with experience conducting high-quality interviews
  • Demonstrated experience with talent sourcing strategies and recruiting tools;
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems such as Rippling
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Comfortable working in an environment with change and ambiguity

Preferred:

  • I099 preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annualized compensation starting at USD 115,000
  • Invoiceable on a weekly basis
