Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager, Quantum Computing Applied Research. Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Lead path-finding research and development in Quantum Computing in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive innovation by identifying strategic quantum opportunities aligned with NVIDIA's product roadmap.
- Represent NVIDIA in global quantum computing consortia, technical committees, and conferences;
- Influence hardware and software strategies to support quantum advancements using NVIDIA technology;
- Contribute to the broader quantum ecosystem by speaking at industry and academic events.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Quantum Computing industry with proven technical expertise.
- At least 4 years in a leadership role within applied research or quantum path-finding;
- Deep knowledge of quantum information science, including both theoretical and practical applications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience in scientific or high-performance computing;
- Exposure to applied machine learning, deep learning, or CUDA-based GPU programming.
- Background in integrating quantum algorithms with classical computing frameworks.

- Base salary range: $272,000 – $431,250 (dependent on location and experience).
