Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define production specifications and establish build plans and schedules.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to improve workflows, scale production volumes, and enhance hardware quality.
• Drive yield improvement initiatives through process optimization and data analysis;
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure diagnostics to enhance component reliability;
• Develop and maintain documentation such as standard operating procedures, process flows, and inventory systems.
• Support strategic planning for next-generation hardware scale-up and quality enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in hardware manufacturing.
• At least 1 year of technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
• 3+ years of experience leading teams in electrical system development or production (e.g., satellites, electronics);
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE);
• Experience in manufacturing scale-up from R&D to volume production.
• Knowledge of PCB, mechanical, or silicon fabrication constraints.

Benefits:

• Base salary range: $147,000 – $216,000 (depending on experience and location)
