Materials Project Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Materials Project Manager – 584. Location: Broomfield, Colorado, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

You will work closely with scientists, engineers, procurement teams, and program managers to ensure smooth materials planning, logistics, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, scope, and execute complex materials management projects supporting quantum hardware development
  • Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, budgets, and logistics plans
  • Lead regular project status meetings, reviews, and post-project retrospectives;
  • Define and implement standard processes for critical performance areas, including
    • Safety and training
    • Operational performance
    • Asset capitalization
    • RFID tagging
    • Spares fulfillment
    • Import and export compliance
    • Cycle counting and inventory accuracy
  • Gather requirements, evaluate new initiatives, and support project scoping efforts
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations using key performance indicators
  • Act as a liaison between Materials Management and global technical teams;
  • Communicate project strategy, scope changes, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership
  • Support continuous process improvement across materials operations
  • Travel up to 25 percent as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations planning, control, and coordination
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductors, or similar industries
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. government regulations;
  • Must meet national security and contractual eligibility requirements

Preferred:

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Solid understanding of materials management principles and best practices
  • Advanced experience with ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Experience working in R&D-driven environments
  • Proven project management skills with a balance of execution and long-term improvement

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $127,000 to $159,000 per year
  • Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and qualifications
  • Incentive eligible role, with bonus included in the posted range
