Job Title: Semiconductor Design Enablement – Testsite Coordinator. Location: Albany, New York, USA
Job Type: Professional (Full-Time, Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support end-to-end test chip development and tape-out activities.
- Define project scope, schedules, milestones, and manage critical dependencies.
- Track progress, resolve issues, and communicate project status and priorities across teams.
- Collaborate with technology development, process integration, design, metrology, and enablement teams.
- Review design data at multiple stages prior to reticle manufacturing submission;
- Manage change control for design updates and reticle ordering processes.
- Coordinate design and waiver reviews to resolve potential fabrication defects.
- Support data preparation and mask release activities, including design data manipulation and scripting.
- Develop scripts and Python tools for test chip development workflows and data processing;
- Identify and implement operational and quality improvements in development flows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience in VLSI chip development or semiconductor technology.
- Understanding of physical layout, semiconductor processing, and technology design rules;
- Familiarity with layout verification tools such as Cadence Pegasus, Synopsys ICV, or Siemens Calibre (DRC experience required).
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in program management or technical coordination roles.
- Experience in semiconductor test chip development and mask preparation workflows.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket;
- Experience with advanced semiconductor technology nodes.
- Strong Python or Perl programming experience (at least 2 years).
- Experience using Synopsys ICV DRC tools.
