Job Title: Quantum Mechanical Scientist. Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, United States

Responsibilities:

• Propose, design, measure, and analyze experiments to enable long-distance superconducting quantum communication.
• Develop and test high-performance electro-mechanical systems, focusing on connectors and microwave transport at the single-photon level.
• Work with cryogenic superconducting environments to study mechanical and electrical interactions;
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in quantum hardware, microwave engineering, and quantum information science.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

• Master’s Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Education:

• Doctorate Degree.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience with cryogenic systems and superconductors.
• Expertise in designing and developing high-performance electrical-mechanical systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of quantum systems and implementations (ions, cold atoms, photons, spins, or superconducting circuits).
• Experience with microwave transport and solid-state physics;
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD design and operation of machine tools.
