System Integration Engineer, Quantum AI

Job Description

Job Title: System Integration Engineer, Quantum AI. Location: Google – Goleta, California

You will work with hardware and software teams to set requirements, guide system design, and ensure all components work together as a complete, high-performing system; You will also support project managers by creating clear system integration plans and tracking progress.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and integration of system components for quantum computing platforms.
• Translate system goals into clear and traceable requirements for each hardware component;
• Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure all technologies integrate into a stable and reliable system.
• Define hardware configurations and ensure the system meets performance and functional targets.
• Coordinate with software teams so tools and controls support system operation.
• Prepare system integration plans with measurable progress metrics;
• Document system configurations and all steps in the integration process.
• Support troubleshooting across electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in hardware system integration;
• 5 years of experience in hardware systems engineering, testing, and integration.
• 5 years of experience integrating multiple custom technologies into a single working system.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience building and running quantum computing systems;
• Experience diagnosing issues in electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems.
• Experience turning system-level objectives into detailed component requirements.
• Ability to travel when required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• US base salary range: 147,000 to 216,000 USD for full-time employees.
• Final pay depends on location, experience, and skills.
• Includes bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits;
