Job Title: Research Scientist, Qubit Calibration, Control Optimization, Stability, Quantum. Job Location: Goleta, CA, USA
You will develop both experimental and software tools to benchmark, analyze, and debug multi-qubit systems, contributing to the advancement of large-scale, error-corrected quantum computing.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, maintain, and debug flagship superconducting quantum hardware.
- Design and develop software tools to analyze and resolve failures in multi-qubit systems.
- Build, test, and enhance calibration software to meet high reliability standards;
- Maintain and improve software infrastructure to ensure scalability for future quantum systems.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers across disciplines, integrating software, hardware, and machine learning techniques.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of research experience in quantum information science or technology;
- One or more publications submitted to conferences, journals, or public repositories.
Preferred:
- Experience with superconducting qubit gates and readout systems.
- Hands-on experience calibrating and debugging experimental quantum hardware.
- Proficiency in Python for experiment control, analysis, or collaborative software development.
