Senior Associate - Corporate Development

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Associate – Corporate Development. Location: Remote, US (Hybrid or On-site options in College Park, MD; Bothell, WA)

Responsibilities:

• Lead due diligence and deal execution for acquisitions and minority investments, coordinating across Finance, Legal, Product, and HR.
• Manage data rooms, diligence trackers, and closing checklists;
• Support financial modeling, valuations, and scenario analyses for live deals.
• Develop integration plans for acquired companies, ensuring smooth alignment across accounting, HR, and product teams.
• Partner with the CFO’s office on closing memos, board packages, and post-close tracking materials.
• Track and monitor IonQ’s minority investment portfolio;
• Build standardized diligence and integration frameworks to streamline future M&A activities.
• Conduct market and company analyses to support strategic decisions across compute, networking, and sensing.
• Evaluate emerging quantum and adjacent technologies for strategic alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate development, finance, strategy, or operations at high-growth companies, venture funds, or investment banks.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously;
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including board-level materials.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of recent investment banking experience.
• CPA or MBA.
• Active interest in deep tech, quantum computing, or advanced computing sectors.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary range: $108,438 – $141,407 USD.
• Total compensation includes base, bonus, and equity;

• Travel up to 20% as needed.
