Site Reliability Engineer Intern

Job Description

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer Intern. Location: Tucson, AZ; San Jose, CA; Houston, TX

This internship offers hands-on experience working with production infrastructure, automation, and reliability practices alongside experienced engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining system reliability across production environments
• Support automation efforts for deployment, system operations, and infrastructure management
• Help troubleshoot system incidents and reduce downtime;
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on reliability improvements
• Contribute to technical documentation and operational processes
• Learn and apply best practices in observability, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Linux or Unix systems
• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts;
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python or Go
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in progress
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana

Benefits and Compensation:

• Salary range (annualized, full-time equivalent):
  • Minimum: USD 52,900
  • Maximum: USD 97,020
• Up to 8 paid holidays for eligible employees
