Job Title: Solutions Architect II. Location: Remote (Canada or United States)
D-Wave is seeking a Solutions Architect II to join its Professional Services team. In this role; you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external customers to deliver real-world quantum optimization applications; You’ll help map complex business challenges to D-Wave’s quantum and hybrid solvers, design prototypes, and implement full-scale production solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build quantum and hybrid optimization solutions using D-Wave’s tools.
- Collaborate with delivery leads, developers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead discussions to understand customer problems and propose technical solutions;
- Gather and model requirements; translate use cases into mathematical and computational models.
- Develop prototypes and production-ready applications tailored to client needs.
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships within D-Wave;
- Share project learnings and feedback with internal product teams.
- Present technical content clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Python programming.
- Familiarity with libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Networkx is a plus.
- Experience using optimization tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi);
- Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.
- Previous customer-facing consulting experience preferred.
- Experience with version control tools like Git;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality projects on time.
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, or Services is an advantage.
- Must be eligible for U.S. government clearance if required.

- USD: $103,000–$155,000
- CAD: $103,000–$155,000
