Job Title: Manager, Quantum Solutions – Pharma. Location: Daresbury (UK), Palo Alto (USA), or Remote

You will identify high-impact quantum computing use cases in drug discovery, clinical trial optimization, and manufacturing, while managing internal teams and client relationships; This is a leadership role where you will shape PsiQuantum’s strategy in the pharma space and drive real-world impact.

Responsibilities:

Quantum Solutions Delivery

• Lead projects related to drug discovery and clinical trial optimization using fault-tolerant quantum computing.
• Collaborate with VP and Director of Quantum Solutions to assess use case feasibility and customer value.
• Guide the development and delivery of quantum applications that address pharma industry challenges.

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute a strategy to engage pharmaceutical companies and grow quantum adoption.
• Build and maintain strong external partnerships.
• Represent PsiQuantum at life sciences events and industry forums.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a global team focused on pharma-related quantum solutions.
• Mentor team members and encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Use Case and Market Development

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new use cases in the pharma domain.
• Partner with academia and pharma stakeholders to validate application ideas.
• Help define commercial opportunities and co-develop quantum-enabled products.

Qualifications:

• PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics, systems biology, or computational chemistry.
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, pharma strategy, or fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of drug development challenges and CADD tools.
• Experience leading teams and working cross-functionally in large organizations.
• Proven record of strategy development and project delivery in life sciences.

Preferred

• Proficiency in business and financial modeling.
• Understanding of quantum computing and its potential applications in drug discovery.
• Ability to evaluate quantum chemical methods and map them to real-world pharmaceutical pipelines.

Compensation:

US Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $175,000 USD
Additional equity and benefits included for full-time roles. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
