Job Description

Job Title: Sustainability Partnerships Intern (2026). Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, United States

The role focuses on using IBM technologies, partner ecosystems, and thought leadership to create real-world impact.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential partners across technology, industry, and sustainability ecosystems.
• Analyze market trends and emerging technologies, including AI, quantum, and hybrid cloud, to uncover sustainability-driven business opportunities.
• Support the creation of partner engagement materials such as presentations, briefs, and points of view documents;
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives that embed sustainability into IBM products, services, and client solutions.
• Use IBM platforms and tools to generate insights that strengthen partnership proposals and joint value propositions.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and external forums to support partnerships that drive industry transformation and sustainability leadership.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Skills and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Interest in sustainability as a driver of innovation and business growth;
• Curiosity about emerging technologies such as AI and quantum computing and their role in solving global challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration abilities and comfort working across teams.
• Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
