Engineer - Electrical Test

Job Description

Job Title: Staff Engineer – Electrical Test Development

You will design and develop automated test solutions for electronic components, working with both in-house and contract manufacturing teams; This role involves building scalable test architectures, designing for manufacturing and testing, and supporting electronics production from prototypes to large-scale deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, documentation, and deployment of test processes for electrical assemblies and components.
  • Implement best practices for prototype electronics testing and transition to production.
  • Build test infrastructure to support electrical testing at all production stages;
  • Resolve technical issues using processes like Root Cause Corrective Action, Lessons Learned, FMEA, and Non-Conformance tracking.
  • Perform hands-on assembly, testing, and system integration when required;
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and test readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years developing test solutions for electrical components.
  • 3+ years experience with complex hardware/software systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical system design and validation;
  • Experience deploying full test solutions to manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting;
  • Experience with FPGA circuit development.
  • Strong understanding of requirements-based test development.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years as a technical lead.
  • 5+ years developing test solutions for complex systems.
  • Experience creating automated data analysis tools and testing scripts;
  • Proven success leading design-for-test campaigns through the full product lifecycle.
  • Expertise in production throughput optimization and scalable test solutions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $128,119 – $167,740 (plus bonus and equity).
