Job Description
Job Title: Facilities Manager. Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States
The Facilities Manager will work closely with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams to support advanced quantum hardware development in a secure, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations, facilities maintenance, and overall site management across Broomfield locations
- Drive operational excellence and efficiency to support evolving technical and research team needs
- Lead, mentor, and manage the facilities team, assigning priorities and ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Plan and deliver complex, multi-site facilities projects, including budget control, scheduling, and scope management;
- Collaborate with scientists, physicists, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to achieve site and company goals
- Develop and implement processes to track facilities KPIs, preventive maintenance programs, and work orders
- Manage contractors, maintain service level agreements, and oversee contractor performance
- Provide senior leadership with regular updates on operational metrics, financial performance, and project progress
- Establish strong communication with stakeholders and lead project meetings to support informed decision-making
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the site
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or process engineering
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within manufacturing, R&D, or production environments;
- Must be a U.S. Person, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, green card holders, or approved asylum or refugee status holders
- Candidates must not be nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen, due to U.S. government security requirements
Preferred:
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental health and safety standards, and local building and fire codes
- Experience with building maintenance, construction projects, and interpreting blueprints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong communication and presentation skills for all organizational levels
- Experience driving core facility infrastructure requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools
- Lean, Green Belt, or Black Belt certification is a plus
Benefits and Compensation:
- Annual salary range: $124,000 to $154,000
- Incentive eligible, including bonus targets where applicable
