Job Description

Job Title: Senior Firmware QA Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

As a Senior Firmware QA Engineer, you will design and implement test validation frameworks for our quantum computing electronics control systems; You will collaborate closely with firmware engineers, hardware specialists, and control software teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for regression testing, stress testing, and runtime analytics of electronics control systems.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Create automated test reports, bug tracking, and performance monitoring tools;
• Build and manage test equipment controls for data collection and runtime validation.
• Design specialized integration tools to verify system behavior under various operating conditions.
• Contribute to the development of electronics controls software.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in quality assurance, testing, or infrastructure development.
• Strong expertise in QA automation for embedded systems.
• Advanced Python skills for control and testing interfaces;
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems, version control, and test-driven development.
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
