Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Engineer, Integration, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, California, USA

As a Hardware Integration Engineer, you will manage the integration of cutting-edge superconducting hardware into test vehicles and quantum systems; You will design and run electrical tests, validate components, and collaborate closely with manufacturers & internal teams to meet tight performance specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical tests on superconducting wiring and packaging components.
• Design test plans, drive test campaigns, and troubleshoot systems to improve reliability.
• Collaborate on development of test structures for thermal, mechanical, and electrical validation.
• Analyze data, conduct yield improvement efforts, and apply methods such as SPC and DOE;
• Work with external collaborators to support testing, data tracking, and manufacturing feedback.
• Maintain organized inventory of components and track incoming hardware.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP) or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in:
  • Semiconductor and PCB fabrication
  • Electrical test measurements
  • Data organization and analysis
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with hardware wiring and packaging.

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.
• Background in reliability engineering and failure analysis;
• Experience with six sigma, yield improvement, and statistical process control methods.
• Familiarity with superconducting materials and cryogenic environments;
• Understanding of mechanical, silicon, or PCB design principles and fabrication constraints.

Benefits:

• US base salary range: $126,000 to $181,000, plus bonus, equity, and full benefits package.
• Compensation is based on job level, experience, skills, and location.
