Process Design Kit (PDK) Lead

Job Description

Job Title: Process Design Kit (PDK) Lead. Location: Albany, New York, United States

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and release of PDKs for advanced technology nodes.
  • Define and manage the deployment process and PDK roadmap in alignment with hardware strategy.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement robust design solutions.
  • Oversee integration of layout, design rule checking, and layout-vs-schematic verification;
  • Ensure high-quality, verified models using lab measurement data for model validation;
  • Drive continuous improvement in PDK development workflows and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor industry with a strong focus on PDK development.
  • Deep understanding of CMOS process flows and device physics.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in PDK coding and automation;
  • Familiarity with major EDA tools and modeling environments.

Preferred:

  • Doctorate in a related technical field.
  • Experience with quantum device modeling and integration into EDA workflows.
  • Strong project management and team leadership abilities.
