Job Description
Job Title: Quantum Hardware Design Engineer. Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, United States
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to high-level design and connectivity for QPUs and testsite architectures
- Develop detailed schematic capture and mask layouts for quantum hardware releases;
- Perform electromagnetic (EM) simulation and modeling of quantum hardware components
- Lead efforts in model-to-hardware correlation for design validation and optimization;
- Collaborate across teams to identify design improvements and close engineering gaps
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field;
- Experience in RF/Microwave engineering and EM simulation tools such as Ansys, Keysight ADS, or Cadence Clarity
- Proficiency in PCB and mask layout tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, KLayout, Altium Designer);
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field;
- Knowledge of microwave network theory and non-linear microwave systems;
- Familiarity with quantum device design and quantum computing principles
