RF/Microwave Design Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: RF/Microwave Design Engineer. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, USA

Job Type: Entry Level, Full-Time, Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of high-performance circuits and subsystems for quantum computing systems.
  • Design and integrate microwave components, including quantum-limited and low-noise amplifiers and isolators in superconducting qubit readout chains.
  • Develop novel superconducting qubit measurement systems;
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, including operational and technical personnel.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly through written and verbal presentations.
  • Work independently and take initiative while contributing to team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of RF/microwave filter design: notch filters, bandpass filters, diplexers.
  • Mastery of EM modeling, circuit design, and layout tools such as Keysight ADS, EMPro, Ansys HFSS, Cadence/Clarity, and COMSOL.
  • Familiarity with test equipment, including vector network analyzers;
  • Strong writing, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in superconducting filter design.
  • Strong background in superconducting circuit design, modeling, and testing;
  • Understanding of non-linear microwave concepts, parametric device behavior, and cryogenic circuit performance.
  • Solid programming knowledge in Python/Jupyter notebooks.

Other Information:
