Sales Executive - Quantum Security - SLED

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Sales Executive, Quantum Security, SLED. Location: Remote, United States. Onsite or hybrid work is also available from IonQ offices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting security-focused enterprise and commercial organizations.
• Identify opportunities involving quantum-safe encryption, cybersecurity resilience, and post-quantum readiness.
• Build and maintain relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT leaders, and executive decision-makers;
• Lead the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and closing.
• Work with sales, engineering, and technical teams to tailor solutions to customer security needs.
• Educate customers about the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity and encryption.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline information using CRM tools.
• Represent IonQ at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in cybersecurity or advanced technology.
• Proven record of exceeding sales quotas in complex, consultative sales environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including encryption, threat landscapes, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience selling to large enterprises or government agencies;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking and solution-oriented selling skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-starter with strong accountability and ownership.

Preferred:

• Experience with quantum computing, AI, security, or emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography or security transformation initiatives.
• Existing relationships with cybersecurity leaders, particularly at the CISO level.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary: $109,120 to $163,680 per year.
• Total compensation may include base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.
