Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – 457. Location: Broomfield, CO, USA (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a security ambassador by promoting and implementing security processes and tools that enable scientists to work securely and efficiently.
  • Identify when to apply tools, processes, and policies to address security goals;
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to understand workflows and integrate security measures that reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Maximize the utilization of existing security tools to achieve full value.
  • Develop and provide security metrics to present the organization’s risk profile.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity areas such as SOC, Risk Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Assessments, or Audits.
  • Must meet U.S. Government national security requirements (cannot be solely a citizen of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen);
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or with asylum/refugee status) or U.S. citizen depending on contract requirements.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant security certifications (ISC2, ISACA, CEH, SANS).
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, software development, network architectures, and cloud/on-premises environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft M365, SIEM, Firewalls, Azure, AWS, EPP, EDR, and network monitoring.
  • Ability to document procedures, design workflows, and improve security practices;
  • Experience in technology start-up environments and working in small, efficient teams.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Innovative, curious, results-focused, and eager to learn continuously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced business environment.
