Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer, Data Engineering, LabOS, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, CA, USA

This role plays a key part in advancing the development of quantum hardware by enabling efficient data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, databases, warehouses, and visualization tools for quantum hardware operations.
• Support data integration and governance across multiple structured and unstructured data sources;
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and research scientists to deploy data-driven analysis and production-level tools.
• Optimize data models and ETL pipelines for improved performance and scalability;
• Document technical processes including design, development, and revisions.
• Lead innovation by identifying and implementing new analytical tools and approaches to improve data insight.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience in data management, system integration, distributed databases, or SQL pipelines.

Preferred:

• Experience programming in Python.
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Background in large-scale data processing and data modeling;
• Experience defining and enforcing data governance policies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: $141,000–$202,000 depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
