Solution Engineer Optimization

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solution Engineer, Optimization. Location: Remote, United States (Hybrid available in Boca Raton, FL)

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with enterprise customers to understand complex business challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders ranging from engineers and developers to executive decision-makers.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and solution overviews.
  • Guide customers throughout the implementation lifecycle, from solution discovery through deployment and ongoing success.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand the use of D-Wave technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and professional services teams to deliver customer value;
  • Participate in industry conferences, customer events, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Share customer feedback and market insights to help influence future product development.
  • Apply optimization techniques, algorithms, and advanced analytical approaches to solve real-world customer problems.
  • Contribute to complex technical projects involving quantum computing, optimization, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative or technical discipline.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Customer Success, or a similar position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience using modern development tools and APIs;
  • Knowledge of optimization methods, algorithms, or analytical problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing or contributing to complex technical projects.

Preferred:

  • Experience with operations research or advanced analytics techniques.
  • Exposure to quantum computing technologies.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Experience supporting customers in industries such as:
    • Logistics
    • Manufacturing
    • Life Sciences
    • Finance
    • Research

Other Information:

  • Remote position based in the United States.
  • Hybrid work option available for candidates located near Boca Raton, Florida.
  • Travel required for customer engagements and industry events (approximately 30% to 50%).
