Strategic Account Executive

Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Account Executive – Quantum Computing. Location: US Remote (East Coast focus)

Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Sales Strategy: Develop and execute complex sales strategies for key accounts with long-term revenue potential aligned with company goals.
  • Account Management:
    Manage a portfolio of government, academic, and enterprise clients. Build and maintain multi-level relationships to drive retention and account growth.
  • Executive Engagement:
    Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, researchers, and policymakers to influence quantum solution adoption.
  • Solution Mapping:
    Work with technical teams to align customer needs with quantum computing hardware, hardware-as-a-service (HaaS), and R&D solutions.
  • Deal Structuring:
    Lead negotiations for large, multi-year deals, coordinating internal teams such as legal, finance, and product.
  • Market Expansion:
    Identify new growth opportunities within existing accounts and support broader ecosystem and market development initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership:
    Represent Quantinuum at conferences and industry panels. Serve as a subject matter expert on quantum use cases in government and industry.
  • Forecasting & Reporting:
    Provide accurate sales forecasts, strategic account plans, and pipeline updates to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales, especially involving complex solutions like hardware, SaaS, or scientific platforms.
  • Deep understanding of government contracts, academic funding models, and enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience working with CTOs, CIOs, and R&D leadership.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing, high-performance computing, and emerging technologies.
  • Technical background in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to exceed revenue targets in high-growth or early-stage tech environments.
  • U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee).
  • Due to federal regulations, nationals of the People’s Republic of China and Russia are not eligible unless also U.S. citizens.
