Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Error Correction Research Software Developer. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY; San Jose, CA; Cambridge, MA; New York, NY; Massachusetts; California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance libraries for decoding algorithms, syndrome circuits, and logical gate simulations.
• Create and maintain scalable simulation tools to evaluate quantum error correction techniques.
• Build and refine noise models to predict system performance;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across theoretical research, hardware development, and system engineering.
• Contribute to both fundamental research and practical implementation of fault-tolerant systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or C++.
• Experience with high-performance or real-time algorithm development;
• Familiarity with simulation of quantum circuits and error correction protocols.
• Ability to build and maintain research-grade software libraries.

Preferred:

• Doctorate in a related field.
• Hands-on experience with noisy superconducting circuits or general open quantum systems.
• Expertise in quantum error correction, surface codes, or decoder implementations;
• Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary research or engineering teams.
