Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Tooling Team Technical Lead. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, USA

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a unified internal tooling platform to support quantum research.
• Maintain and upgrade existing analysis tools while identifying opportunities for integration and enhancement.
• Collaborate closely with researchers to understand workflows and pain points;
• Design and implement scalable, high-availability solutions that improve research productivity.
• Balance immediate problem-solving with long-term system design;
• Adapt to changing requirements and evolving team priorities with pragmatic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a technical lead in software development.
• Full-stack development expertise, preferably across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience working in agile environments and directly with research or scientific teams.
• Demonstrated ability to handle uncertainty and iterate rapidly in evolving conditions;
• Strong grounding in engineering best practices, with flexibility in their application.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Background in physics, data science, or systems development.
• Previous experience building internal tools or research-focused platforms.
• Experience with hardware programming or quantum systems is a plus;
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques.
