Job Description

Job Title: Research Scientist Intern – Quantum Devices. Location: Los Angeles County, California‍

‍As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will help advance the development of fault-tolerant quantum computers by contributing to experiments, simulations, & device modeling focused on superconducting quantum systems.

Responsibilities:

• Model and analyze superconducting quantum devices
• Run numerical dynamical simulations and interpret results
• Collaborate with theorists and experimentalists to guide experiments;
• Develop and automate experimental measurement techniques using software
• Contribute to interpreting experimental data and improving processor performance
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business partners

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Technology, Science, or another quantitative field
• Research experience with quantum systems;
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language, such as Python, Java, C, or C++
• Strong problem-solving and data analytics skills

Preferred:

• Enrolled in a PhD program in Engineering, Technology, Science, or related field;
• Hands-on experience in modeling and simulations of superconducting quantum devices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
